Last week we asked fans, what they thought of the Prometheus trailer. The results are as follows:
You can now vote on our new poll which asks “What are your thoughts on the Engineers so far?” assuming the “Engineer” is the bald, humanoid creature we saw in the Prometheus trailer. Voting closes in seven days, so cast your vote now!
Okay, so a bit of news has surfaced on BloodyDisgusting that Ian Whyte (aka. guy who played the Predator in Alien vs. Predator and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem) may be playing one of the Space jockeys in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus film. From the trailer we saw last week, the “Space Jockey”, or “Engineer” humanoid seen in this still could be who Ian will be portraying, based on the fact that the humanoid creature seen in the trailer was rather massive compared to a normal person and also looked rather “human” in nature.
“In Twentieth Century Fox’s Prometheus, arriving in theaters June 8, one of these Space Jockeys is referred to as “The Engineer”. While there are said to be multiple engineers, Bloody Disgusting can exclusively report that Ian Whyte will portray one of them. He will soon be referred to as our “creator” or “God”… Whyte also worked in costume as the Predator in both Alien vs. Predator films. We’ll hopefully have more soon as there are quite a bit of interesting rumors surrounding this casting. We’ll work on confirming before we report back.” – BloodyDisgusting
Now, I have seen this link pop up on a number of sites today, and it’s a link to a YouTube video where someone has taken bits of the original Alien film and sorted them in a way to match the Prometheus trailer. I must say, after seeing this, I was impressed. A very well done tribute. Have a look below:
Since the trailer’s release I was going to post up a play-by-play trailer analysis for Prometheus, but I figured that has already been done on a few other sites. So, instead I have posted up this article for your reading pleasure which features some insight to the secrets revealed in the released Prometheus media. This includes production stills, posters and bits from the Prometheus trailer.

This article is strictly theory based and of my own opinions. As I mention in the preceding paragraph of the article, you are welcome to (and we encourage you to) post up your own ideas in the Prometheus forums here! So, have a read if you like. Hopefully this article arouses some theories of your own! Read the article here!
