An in depth look at the USCM Marine from Aliens vs Predator

The Marine

The Marine is your basic grunt, packed with heavy and light weapons, all suited for the right situation, the Marine has the most accurate shots and is best used at far ranges attacks. At some points, you may find yourself with an Alien on top of you. AT this time, you’ll probably want to punch it in the face, or use the butt of your gun to knowck it off you, but you do NOT want to risk a toe to toe melee fight with one. You will not stand a chance. Instead, knowck your enemies off you with a kick, or whatever you choose, and then backup while firing. Below, are the weapons you will use as the Marine.

Pulse Rifle

The Pulse Rifle, a classic wepaon, first introduced in the hit film: ALIENS this wepaon was perfect. An automatic firing wepaon capable of pericing the toughest armour and inflicting enough damage to leave any Alien crippled if fired upon. The Pulse Rifle has a “round count” ont he side which tells its shooter how much amunition is left in the clip, a useful addition. It also packs a powerful punch with a grenade launcher built right in! Easily a favourite for most FPS fans.

Flame Thrower

The Flame Thrower or the “Alien’s largest threat” as we all know that the Aliens fear fire to the tenth degree. This time, Rebellion has given the Marines a more powerful flamethrower capable of propelling almost 3 times as far outwards as the previous ones in earlier games. The Flame thrower showers its enemies in fire. The Flame thrower was also equiped with an ammo-counter to inform its handler of its current ammo reserve at all times. A great addition to an already powerful wepaon.

Pistol

The Pistol is the basic weapon to every Marine. Not very powerful, but if aimed right can end an opponent’s life quickly. The Pistol is small and easily usable in any situation. It is often used when other weapons are out of ammunition, or the holder is making a last stand, or a desperate attempt at escaping. Either way, you should try to use this weapon as a last resort if possible and use the more heavy suited wepaons for up-front combat. The Pistol is a great last resort when facing an Alien head on.
