AliensVsPredator3.com will be upgrading to a completely new, custom system which the site will run off of in the coming month! The new site will feature an in depth user panel, allowing for users to submit status updates, games they’re playing currently, personal blogs, comments, profile pictures, links, etc… the profiles will be upgraded significantly.
As for content, the website content will not change. The design will however. We are creating a new design (currently in construction) which should speed up load times for pages aswell as feature some neat new add-ons. More interactive modules so that members have more infleuence when it comes to running the site. We are focussing heavily on the community and news aspects, as always and will be debuting a site preview in the next couple of weeks to Subscribers, and screenshot previews to regular members shortly following.
AliensVsPredator3.com will continue to act as your number one source for AvP news and info. Watch the forums for daily status updates on the project!
An interview over at BigDownload.com with Randy Pitchford over Gearbox’s Duke Nukem title, lead to a minor mention at the end about Aliens Colonial Marines. It would seem they are planning to release some info for us on the game’s developement sooner rather than later.
“Any hints that you can give us about upcoming Gearbox Software game announcements? [-BigDownload.com]
Heh. We’ll be talking more soon about our Aliens: Colonial Marines project and we are very excited about our partnership with Sega and 20th Century Fox on that game and can’t wait to show more of what’s being developed there. It’s very exciting. Beyond that, we’re not ready to announce any other things that we have in development, but will in due time. [- Randy Pitchford]”
More news on Aliens CM should appear shortly. Watch AliensVsPredator3.com for updates on the situation. Thanks to Chris!(($$))! from our forums and the GBX forums for the heads up.
Browsing fellow site AvP2Daily, I came across some new screen catpures for Aliens vs Predator game skins! It would seem that PC players can now mod their own ”Giger Alien” skin, as seen below, and a “Berserker Predator” (from ‘Predators’) which was mentioned earlier this past week. (bottom) You can click on each image to view the full sized image in our gallery!
PC players can now customize and mod their own skins. See here for a demo.
The fifth addition to the AvP Three World War series hits shelves today! The comic is going for $3.50 each and can be ordered now! With Randy Stradley yet again behind the story and Penciller: Rick Leonardi, along with Inker: Mark Pennington, Colorist: Wes Dzioba and Cover Artist: Raymond Swanland, you can expect this comic to be hit, as like all the rest that have come before it.
“Whoever said “Wa, you can expect this comic to r is Hell” didn’t know the half of it. The Colonial Marines and their Predator allies look to take the fight to the enemy Predators and the Alien horde they control — but the daunting numbers of the bug swarm may be more than human and hunter can overcome. Their last hope may lie in the synthetic hands of the android David Sereda, who discovers the enemy’s bug hatchery and a secret that may stem the deadly Alien tide — if he can survive long enough to tell the tale!
Featuring the creative dream team of original AvP writer Randy Stradley, superstar penciller Rick Leonardi, inker Mark Pennington, colorist Wes Dzioba, and stunning cover artist Raymond Swanland, Aliens vs. Predator: Three World War ties together story threads introduced in the 1989 AvP series and new Aliens and Predator storylines, setting the stage for the most epic AvP brawl ever imagined.” – Dark Horse
